PHILLIPS LYTLE PARTNER JENNIFER A. BECKAGE TO PRESENT AT ERIE INSTITUTE OF LAW CLE EVENT “SURROGATE COURT PRACTICE IN THE DIGITAL AGE”
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Jennifer A. Beckage will participate in the Erie Institute of Law CLE event “Surrogate Court Practice in the Digital Age.” The event will take place on Thursday, May 25th at 9 a.m. at Templeton Landing in Buffalo. Ms. Beckage’s presentation is titled “Ethical Issues in Law Firm Technology.”
Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Beckage was an owner of a technology-based company. She successfully helped lead the company through an acquisition to a publicly-traded company, in which she was retained in a management role overseeing operations of an e-services line of products in 11 states.
Ms. Beckage’s prior technology and business background provides her with important insight in representing clients in responding to data security incidents, cyberattacks, and data breaches and in commercial litigation involving, among other things, data breaches, intellectual property, employee disloyalty, violations of non-compete agreements and other employment matters, breaches of contract, and fraud matters. She is also experienced in responding to governmental agencies and investigations, as well as overseeing corporate compliance with regulatory bodies.
Ms. Beckage’s diverse practice allows her to provide clients with a broad perspective on legal matters. She has assisted startups to prominent clients in the food, education, manufacturing, banking, technology and finance industries with litigation, business disputes, risk mitigation efforts and regulatory matters.
