PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER FREDERICK G. ATTEA TO CHAIR PANEL AT NEW YORK STATE BAR ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

Buffalo, N.Y. – Frederick G. Attea, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, a premier regional law firm that is recognized nationally for its legal excellence, will chair a panel discussion at the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Annual Meeting. The event will be held on January 27th at the New York Hilton in New York City.

The presentation will cover the impact of the New York Non-Profit Revitalization Act, some unintended consequences it has created, efforts to amend the Act to date and other problems with the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law that need to be addressed in the future.

Mr. Attea concentrates his legal practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities laws, corporate governance and legal compliance programs. He has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1965 and has served as a member of the House of Delegates, Chair of the Business Law Section, Chair of the Corporation Law Committee, and is currently Chair of the recently organized Not-for-Profit Corporations Law Committee. He is a leader in the Western New York community, dedicating his time to his practice and to community service, especially in education and the arts. He has authored numerous articles and lectured on a variety of legal topics.
