PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ANNOUNCES CRISIS RESPONSE & MANAGEMENT PRACTICE TEAM
Legal team is the first of its kind among Upstate New York law firms
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP announced today the formation of a Crisis Response & Management Practice Team. Phillips Lytle is the first law firm in Upstate New York to offer dedicated, comprehensive crisis response services.
The Phillips Lytle Crisis Response & Management Team includes 14 attorneys from across the firm’s eight offices. The firm’s representative expertise includes the following areas and issues: Crisis Policy Preparation, Data Breach, Product Recall, Environmental and Government Investigations.
Phillips Lytle’s team has on-the-ground experience addressing all types of crises and the ability to immediately deploy its attorneys – taking whatever steps are necessary to implement emergency response protocols. In order to avoid crises, Phillips Lytle attorneys also regularly advise clients on crisis planning, from drafting policies to on-site training to public relations and crisis communications.
“Phillips Lytle has provided counsel and crisis management services to its clients for decades,” said Phillips Lytle Partner and Crisis Response & Management Practice Co-Team Leader Jennifer A. Beckage. “Formalizing this team will give our clients a clear understanding of the services we can offer them before, during and after a crisis.”
“Our firm’s history of working on a wide range of crises made this a natural fit,” said Phillips Lytle Partner and Crisis Response & Management Practice Co-Team Leader Morgan G. Graham. “Phillips Lytle offers some of the most experienced crisis attorneys in the northeast, and we are pleased to be able to offer this practice team to clients.”
Examples of crisis scenarios where the firm’s services and experience are applicable include: environmental catastrophes and chemical releases; fires, spills or explosions; product tampering; food contamination; abrupt changes in corporate senior management; bioterrorism; government investigations and raids; labor strikes; natural disasters; product recalls; technology and data security breaches; internet and website threats; and ransomware and cyberattacks.
